NB! Before setting up a VPN, you need to ensure the following conditions are met: You know your student account (email address ending in @student.ttk.ee), and you remember your password.

How to check if you remember your password: To do this, open a new incognito tab (Ctrl+Shift+N) in your browser and go to the address http://Office.com .

I recommend using incognito mode to prevent automatic login and to enter your student account credentials from memory, without using autofill.

If after entering your password you see such an image as shown below, everything is good, and you can proceed with setting up the VPN.

  1. From the Windows 10 Start Menu, click Settings.

  1. Click Network & Internet.

  2. On the left navigation menu, select VPN.

  3. Click Add a VPN connection.

In the VPN provider text box, select Windows (built-in).

  • In the Connection name text box, type a name for the VPN (such as "TTK VPN")

  • In the Server name or address text box, type rkvpn.ttk.ee

  • From the VPN Type drop-down list, select L2TP/Ipsec with pre-shared key.

  • In the Pre-shared key text box, type tahanlugeda

  • In the Type of sign-in info  text box, select Username and password.

  • In the Username text box, type your personal student account.

  • In the Password text box, type your password.

Click Save.
The VPN is added to the Network & Internet VPN settings page.

On the VPN settings page, click Change adapter options.

  1. Click your VPN to select it.

  2. Click Change settings of this connection.
The Properties for this VPN appear.

10. Click the Security tab.

11. From the Data encryption drop-down list, select Optional encryption (connect even if no encryption).

12. Select Allow these protocols.

13. Select Unencrypted password (PAP) as the only allowed protocol.
