VPN - Windows 10 - Student (ENG manual)
NB! Before setting up a VPN, you need to be sure you remember student e-mail account password.
How to check if you remember your password: To do this, open a new incognito tab in your browser and go to the address https://outlook.office.com
Enter your school account address: firstname.lastname@student.ttk.ee and password.
Note: If you change your school email password, you will need to set up your VPN again.
Once you are logged in, follow these steps to set up your VPN.
From the Windows 10 Start Menu, click Settings.
Click Network & Internet.
On the left navigation menu, select VPN.
Click Add a VPN connection.
In the VPN provider text box, select Windows (built-in).
In the Connection name text box, type a name for the TTK VPN
In the Server name or address text box, type rkvpn.ttk.ee
From the VPN Type drop-down list, select L2TP/Ipsec with pre-shared key.
In the Pre-shared key text box, type tahanlugeda
In the Type of sign-in info text box, select Username and password.
In the Username text box, type your personal student account.
In the Password text box, type your password.
Click Save.
The VPN is added to the Network & Internet VPN settings page.
Attention! If you previously change anything in the VPN settings (e.g. password), you must also change the VPN Security below to the correct one again.
On the VPN settings page, click Change adapter options.
Click your VPN to select it.
Click Change settings of this connection.
The Properties for this VPN appear.
10. Click the Security tab.
11. From the Data encryption drop-down list, select Optional encryption (connect even if no encryption).
12. Select Allow these protocols.
13. Select Unencrypted password (PAP) as the only allowed protocol.
14. Click OK.
